Miguel Borg is the Chief Executive Officer of Malta Venture Capital, a sovereign investment entity that invests directly in start-ups operating across innovative economic sectors. Alongside his executive role, he lectures at the University of Malta and the Global Banking School.

Before joining Malta Venture Capital, Miguel served as Chief Risk Officer and Executive Director at Bank of Valletta plc. Earlier in his career, he held a role at the Central Bank of Malta and has served as a non-executive director on the boards of several companies.

He holds a master’s degree in economics and is a member of several international risk management associations.
